Our History

We’ve got decades of experience delivering innovation in the access sector. Here are just some of our highlights.

1973

NSG open their first manufacturing plant in the UK, producing aluminium access towers.

1982

Paul Gallacher, now POP UP PRODUCT’S Sales Director, joins NSG as a Sales Executive. At the same time, POP UP PRODUCTS Managing Director Nigel Woodger joins the team as a Management Trainee.

1985

Beginning his career, Financial Director Adrian Blomeley joins the company as a Trainee Accountant.

1999

Product Manager Paul Rogers leaves the aerospace industry to join the team at NSG.

2001

The EIGER 500 tower system is launched, bringing a strong, lightweight, easy to assemble scaffold tower onto the market.

2003

Adrian Blomeley, Paul Gallacher & Nigel Woodger team up to undertake a management buyout of NSG

2004

Jimmy Kenny, POP UP PRODUCT’S Logistics Supervisor, joins company.

2004

Manufacturing of the aluminum towers moves to Hungary, maintaining the same high standards of production in a most cost-efficient manner.

2005

After extensive research and development, the original Pop Up lift is launched – the world’s first push-around mini scissor lift.

2006

POP UP PRODUCTS demerges from NSG to become an independent business in its own right.

2007

David Bradley joins POP UP PRODUCTS, bringing years of accountancy experience to the business as our Financial Controller.

2010

We team up with Snorkel (formerly Upright) to form a Pop Up manufacturing partnership, producing several access products that you’ll find in our ranges.

2011

Moving into the access industry from manufacturing, Russell Prince joins the company as our Sales Support Manager.

2012

The second generation of the EIGER 500 tower system is launched.

2012

POP UP PRODUCTS forms an aluminium tower manufacturing partnership with Altrex, a global leader with some of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world.

2013

The EIGER 250 tower system is launched, taking the best of the EIGER 500  but engineering it so it can be assembled without the need for ladder frames.

2013

MI TOWER, the world’s first one-man tower is launched worldwide, making scaffold access available to the individual for the first time.

2014

The MI TOWER range is extended with the addition of MI TOWER+, the very first two-man tower that can be erected by one man in under 15 minutes.

2015

Building on customer feedback and extensive development, the Pop Up PRO IQ is launched – the world’s first intelligent push-around lift.

 

2016

MI TOWER STAIRS are launched, making it possible to use our easy-assembly scaffold towers over staircases.

2017

Felix Dempsey joins the company as a Management Trainee – the same role once held by Managing Director Nigel Woodger in 1982.

2018

POP UP PRODUCTS launch new branding and website
